This was how my day was playing out. Had RL serious stuff to deal with today and was not in the best of moods. There I was, knowing that I should not let things get to me and not doing a thing about it. Just letting it stew and getting very little accomplished. I logged in to the pc to attempt to get some work done. While my programs were loading, I was suddenly inclined to look up and there it was on the wall directly behind my pc hanging was a huge framed and matted photograph I had purchased years ago. A photograph that, despite it's size, had been over looked - taken for granted.
At the bottom of the photograph there is the following quote written in all cap's: "OUR LIVES ARE NOT DETERMINED BY WHAT HAPPENS TO US, BUT HOW WE REACT TO WHAT HAPPENS; NOT BY WHAT LIFE BRINGS TO US, BUT BY THE ATTITUDE WE BRING TO LIFE. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE CAUSES A CHAIN REACTION OF POSITIVE THOUGHTS, EVENTS, AND OUTCOMES. IT IS A CATALYST...A SPARK THAT CREATES EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS."
That quote is from The Power of Attitude photograph. There it hangs every day and I've read it before yet it had been a long time since the last time. Amazing how sometimes what we need is right in front of us but we don't even see it.
