Instead of installing the blogger app, I opted to add a short cut to the full site on my mobile homepage. It's a better fit for me. It doesn't take up space in either phone or sd card. This is simple, it's working after various failed attempts to update via sms, mms and email. Using HTC Mytouch 4G _________________________________ 1/14/2012 App update. Tested the Blogger mobile app and decided it's simplier to use than I had originally thought plus can update multiple blogs faster. Who knew?

Video Tips

At some point you or someone you know may want to make a video. Here is a simple to navigate tutorial full of great tips. Two things attracted me about their videos. One was their clear, simple and detailed tutorials. Second, there is no need to login/register to watch the tutorials! Have fun and as always remember to always video responsibly.

Updated The Forums Page

Okay, I took a trip to the Forums page. Was pleasantly surprised to learn that only one forum is no longer available while two changed their urls. New forum additions include Android, Blackberry, LG, Mobile and Music.

Forums now has it's on tab at the top of this blog while it's still located via the Informational Sidebar.

This is my first use of the new twitter embedding media called Blackbird Pie.

+Why use it?
Frankly the answer is exclusively based on your preference. Screen shots is what ppl traditionally use when displaying tweets on articles. Personally I am not a fan of screen shots. However (unlike applications which evolve requiring one to back track/update) screen shots, for the most part, are permanent.

+What does an embedded tweet look like?

Visit http://media.twitter.com/blackbird-pie/
Once there, paste the tweet you want converted. Bake it. You will see the complete code. Copy, paste and add to your site via HTML editing. Don't feel intimidated by the code. It is a simple copy and paste. If you feel the need to change the code up a bit, it also loans itself for that too!

+How do I copy a tweet in the first place?
Click the date/time stamp on the lower portion of the tweet. After that page is open, stay on that page, scroll to url listed on your browser, copy that url.

There you have it. Don't knock it until you try it, then decide.

Nixzmary Brown 4th Anniversary

Instead of writing about Nixzmary yesterday Jan 11, 2010, on the 4th anniversary of her passing, I decided to read more about her life. After reading about her tragic life, I paused and wondered if I was better off not knowing. "Pain is pain" I thought to myself. However, I continued reading because she continued to endure a nightmare everyday. What's a few words compared to the constant terror she experienced? To say that I was at a loss for words is an understatement. When I saw the pictures of the room in which she met with her death, it was overwhelming. It was so haunting.

There is just no amount of justification for how everyone pretty much let her down her whole life. I've seen people go out of their way for an animal yet not out of their way enough for her when she was alive and sadly not well. My answers are not as crucial to answer as much as the answers of all the people in her life. People that I hope every single day of their lives deep down inside ask themselves, "Why did I hesitate?" Are they at peace with themselves? I doubt it. However, she is now resting in peace.

Remembering Nixzmary Brown.
